Graduates of this program are likely to be employed in various types of restaurants, bars, caf\u00e9s and bistros, in convention centres or banquet halls, in hotels and inns or other private or public establishments where food and beverages are served.<\/span><\/p>\n

Depending on the size and type of establishment, food and beverage servers and bartenders may be called upon to plan their work, prepare the mise en place, provide different types of service, perform billing and collection operations, and participate in closing duties or in restocking supplies for the establishment.<\/span><\/p>\n

While performing their tasks, food and beverage servers and bartenders come into continuous contact with customers and work together with other service staff. They must therefore coordinate their work with kitchen staff, front desk clerks and, in certain establishments, with sommeliers and ma\u00eetres d\u2019h\u00f4tel.<\/span><\/p>\n
